Project Details: Collins Arch is a $1.25 billion Cbus Property development. This premier, mixed use precinct includes commercial, dining, retail, residential and 1,900m² of public open space, covering a 6,000m² city block.
Orca’s art deco, brass grates were custom manufactured as a key feature of the precinct’s forecourt. Stakeholders anticipate the brass finish will age to a more subdued antique patina.
Products in Use: 60 lineal metres of SH 300 with a 300mm clear opening, stainless steel edge, polymer concrete channels. The SH300 were installed with custom made brass grates in an art deco style to work with the precinct’s aesthetic. The grates carry loading class AS3996-2019 Class B and a P5 slip rating. All grates were locked down, for security in the open pedestrian spaces.
Orca also supplied a number of stainless steel slot drains throughout the Collins Arch complex. These delivered on the drainage requirements of the site, without detracting from the design aesthetic of the paving
