A recent installation of our bike lane separators in Melbourne’s CBD. An Australian first, this locally manufactured product uses up to 80% recycled bin glass. We use a process developed in co-operation with Deakin University and we proudly partner with Citywide Service Solutions Pty Ltd to source our recycled glass locally.
The bike lane separators are manufactured at our carbon neutral facilities, using a patented polymer concrete technology to deliver a product that’s up to 4 times stronger than standard Portland cement-based products. The range is lightweight and easy to install to reduce manual handling risks.
Working with the City of Melbourne, this project saw 14 kilometres of bike lane separators installed to create dedicated bicycle corridors and increase road safety for bike commuters. The Island 300 range is modular and designed for rapid deployment, is non-damaging to the road surface and can be relocated as traffic management needs change. It’s engineered for performance!
