This project, in Shell Cove near Wollongong features Orca’s patented grates and channel system. The installation specified stainless-steel for the grates, to meet the aesthetic requirements of the project.
Form and function were key, with accessibility a priority for the development. The anti-slip surface of our grates are tested to AS4586-2013 to the rating P5. And our heel-safe feature ensures high heels, bare feet, wheelchairs and mobility aids can travel comfortably over the grating surface. Orca grating is ideal for high traffic areas and designed for the ultimate performance under load, tested to AS3996-2019.
The polymer concrete channels under the grates and manufactured in Australia to EN1433-2002 in our Australian facilities. Orca’s core principle is to develop innovative products utilising recycled materials and produce them employing carbon neutral manufacturing. Our range of channels utilise a high level of recycled materials, are resistant to weathering, acids & alkalis, are frost proof and non-flammable.
